Jason Alexander’s life is a story of creativity, growth, and lifelong dedication to art.
From early beginnings to international recognition
		First Steps in Art
Discovering the basics of visual expression
Since 1993, in a drafty studio on Toronto’s Wellington Street, Jason Alexander has stayed true to capturing city life. While teaching and working in advertising, painting always came first. With an Ontario College of Art degree and studies in Florence, he was eager to share his work.
		A 30-Year Artistic Journey
In his first studio, Jason began his iconic "Room With A View" series—bold urban dreamscapes with cube-like geometry, taxi cabs, and angled buildings. Over a decade, more than a thousand works and prints from the series were sold across North America and Europe.

		Finding His Own Voice
Blending knowledge, experience, and personal vision
In 1997, he was showing in five GTA galleries. Foundation Fine Art, known as the Liss Gallery, was his first art gallery and first art dealer. He also showed paintings at Art Expo New York a few times, as well as at exhibitions in Atlanta and Miami.
At 87 Queen Street West, in a storefront studio in Toronto’s Queen and Ossington neighborhood for four years—gritty, vibrant, alive. —he was interviewed by CityTV News and Bravo News a few times. He would call it his art factory, preparing for his exhibition across borders.
Featured on TV Shows
Jason’s art was featured on several popular television shows. His paintings appeared in six episodes of Seinfeld, as well as on Will & Grace, Family Matters (Urkel), and Suddenly Susan — helping bring his unique style to millions of viewers across North America.

						Always staying close to art
Partnering with MediaCom, Nike Canada, and CIBC, Alexander created a 30-foot-wide canvas for Covenant House that toured five Canadian cities. The painting hung above Yonge Street, turning a traffic jam into a moment of connection.
Turning the Page in the 2000s
“In the early 2000s, I was selling in seven
galleries across North America. It was wild. One month I’d be shipping work to New York, the next I’d be prepping for an exhibit in Vancouver”
From 2000 to 2007, he took part in regional art events like the Collingwood Art Tour and Blue Mountain Village Arts Weekends. Since 2014, he’s been a staple at the Collingwood Art Crawl, where fans and collectors experience his evolving work firsthand.

		Always Growing Through Art
Jason’s journey as an artist is far from over. He continues to paint, teach, and connect with people through his work — in galleries, online, and face to face. Each piece he creates carries a part of his story, shaped by years of learning, exploring, and simply doing what he loves. For Jason, art isn’t just something he does — it’s something he shares.
